Iran Denies Involvement in Drone Attack on Saudi Oil Pipeline
Tehran has denied any involvement in drone attacks on Saudi Arabia's East-West oil pipeline. The attacks, which were reported to have occurred on Friday, targeted the pipeline in the Riyadh and Medina regions, but Saudi officials opted against retaliation, citing their support for the Iraqi government's investigation into the incident.
Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei described claims of Tehran's involvement as 'pure lies' during a press conference on Monday. He urged regional governments to recognize the facts rather than repeating baseless allegations.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella organization for Iranian-aligned Iraqi armed factions, also denied any involvement and expressed willingness to cooperate with the government investigation. Baqaei further stated that a planned meeting in Salalah, Oman, had been canceled at Saudi Arabia's request due to developments in Yemen.
