Iran Denies Involvement in Saudi Oil Pipeline Attack
The Iranian government has denied involvement in the reported attack on Saudi Arabia's East-West oil pipeline. In a statement, Esmaeil Baqaei, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, rejected US claims of Tehran's involvement and called them 'manufactured lies'.
Baqaei also mentioned that a planned meeting between Iran and Gulf countries in Salalah, Oman, was postponed after Saudi Arabia requested a delay. The postponement is related to discussions on maritime navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
Tehran's denial comes amid escalating tensions in the region, particularly regarding the conflict in Yemen. Baqaei explicitly denied any link between Iran and the Houthi rebels, who have been involved in the Yemen conflict.
