Iran Diversifies Amid US Economic Pressure

Economic analyst Amin Mokarrami believes that despite US pressure, Iran's economy can withstand the strain if it diversifies its options. The Trump administration is trying to make doing business with Iran more expensive for both Iranian entities and foreign banks.

The goal of this economic campaign is to cut off Iran's oil income, limit its access to foreign currency, and make trade and financial transactions more difficult. However, Mokarrami points out that every additional country the US pressures creates another diplomatic and economic problem for them.

China is particularly important in this scenario. If Chinese companies continue buying Iranian oil and maintaining trade with Iran, it becomes harder for Washington to close all channels. Iran needs to work to preserve these relationships and make cooperation commercially attractive and predictable.
