Iran-Linked Attack Kills Two on Saudi Oil Tanker in Strait of Hormuz

Saudi Arabia's national shipping company, Bahri, has confirmed that two Filipino sailors were killed in an attack on one of its oil tankers, Sidr. The incident occurred while the tanker was transiting the Strait of Hormuz, a critical waterway for global energy exports.

The Saudi foreign ministry condemned the attack and called for an end to escalations in the region. Bahri stated that it is working closely with authorities and maritime stakeholders to monitor developments.

This is not the first time a Bahri vessel has been targeted in the region. In July, another tanker, Wedyan, was hit while passing through the strait close to Oman's coast.
