The Middle East conflict has escalated after Iran launched a barrage of missiles at American forces in the region.

According to reports, six Iranian advisers were killed in the U.S.-Saudi strike, which also targeted Tehran-backed militias in neighboring Iraq. At least 20 fighters were reportedly killed and 32 others wounded in the overnight strikes.

Jordan's military intercepted five Iranian missiles fired at its Muwaffaq Salti Air Base, a key U.S. military hub for the region. The base serves as a strategic location for military operations against ISIS.

Saudi Arabia accused Iraqi militias of firing drones against its oil facilities over the past two days. In response, American and Saudi fighter aircraft struck multiple logistics and weapons sites in eastern Iraq.

The flare-up has raised concerns about a return to all-out war, which could further destabilize the global economy.
