Iran Oil Production Barely Meets Domestic Needs
Iran's crude oil production has dropped significantly in recent months to meet only slightly above domestic needs, according to TankerTrackers. The firm reported that Iran's oil production is now barely enough for refining and consumption within the country.
This means that there is 'very little pressure to export,' as stated by TankerTrackers, but it's essential to note that this refers specifically to logistical pressure, not economic pressure.
The sharp decline in loadings at the Kharg Island export terminal can be attributed to Iran's oil production levels. As a result, fewer tankers are being loaded with Iranian crude oil for export.
