Iran-Oman Talks Send Oil Prices Plummeting

Oil prices have dropped due to progress in Iran-Oman talks, which reduced supply concerns and put pressure on oil prices.

The US has not adopted the offer to hand over control of Iranian shipping in the Gulf, and Iran has threatened to retaliate against renewed attacks from the United States.

Rising US crude inventories added further weakness to the oil market, increasing by 2.5 million barrels to 407 million barrels.
