Iran Rushes to Restore Gas Production Capacity Before Cold Season
The oil industry in Iran is working to restore gas production capacity before the cold season. The country's gas network was affected by recent attacks, which removed a portion of gas production capacity from the circuit. According to Mohammad Jafar Qaempanah, the Executive Deputy of the President, enemy attacks on oil industry infrastructure during the third imposed war removed 230 million cubic meters from the country's gas production capacity.
The Ministry of Oil has set a goal to restore 100 million cubic meters of this capacity in the coming months. To achieve this, the National Iranian Oil Company, the National Iranian Gas Company, Pars Oil and Gas Company, contractors, and domestic manufacturers are involved in the process. Hamid Bovard, the Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Company, emphasized the necessity of accelerating reconstruction operations and returning damaged refineries to full operation.
The CEO of Pars Oil and Gas Company reported that debris removal and securing of the damaged refineries have been completed, and the reconstruction strategies and programs have entered the implementation phase. The company has also signed an agreement for the reconstruction project of the South Pars Phase 4 and 5 refinery with a consortium of domestic contractors.
