Iran Secures $7.5B in Oil Revenues Despite US Naval Blockade
Iran's oil revenues have reached $7.5 billion despite being under a US naval blockade, according to the country's Oil Ministry. This amount would be enough to cover the government's foreign-currency expenditures from July through December.
The funds were generated from sales during the first four months of the current Iranian year and were transferred to the central bank. Iran has sufficient oil available for sale outside the blockade to meet its revenue targets established in its state budget for the period from March 21, 2026, to March 20, 2027.
The country's oil revenues generated between March 21 and July 22 reached 99% of the amount projected in the budget for that period. This comes as Iran remains under a US naval blockade that has disrupted Tehran's oil exports and maritime trade.
