Iran Surpasses Egypt as Top Buyer of Russian Grain
Russian grain exports have seen significant changes this year, with Iran emerging as the top buyer. According to data from ProSerno, as of September 8, Iran received 913.7 thousand tons of Russian grain.
The majority of these imports consisted of corn, with 498.1 thousand tons shipped to Iran. Barley exports totaled 292.5 thousand tons, while wheat exports reached 123.1 thousand tons.
Egypt remains the second-largest buyer of Russian grain, with a total of 846.8 thousand tons imported. Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, and Sudan follow in the rankings.
