Iran, Tajikistan Ink Long-Term Energy Cooperation Deal
The Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Tajikistan have reached an agreement on long-term energy cooperation. The deal covers two main pillars: the export of Iranian petroleum products to Tajikistan and the supply of crude oil needed by Tajik refineries.
Under this arrangement, Iran will provide a portion of Tajikistan's demand for petroleum products through a long-term contract. This cooperation is expected to solidify Iran's presence in Tajikistan's energy market and boost bilateral trade in refined products.
The agreement also focuses on supplying the crude oil required by Tajik refineries, enabling Iran to play a role not only in exporting refined products but also in providing feedstock for Tajikistan's refineries. This expands bilateral cooperation across the oil value chain from crude supply to finished products.
