The United Arab Emirates is facing a growing threat from Iran, both on land and at sea. The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has revealed that 15 of its oil vessels have been targeted by missiles and drones while transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

According to ADNOC, three vessels were attacked in a single week, resulting in one crew member's death and 20 injuries. The attacks have raised concerns over the security of the Strait of Hormuz, which is the world's most important oil-shipping chokepoint, through which roughly one-fifth of global oil consumption passes.
