Iran Targets US Vessels and Oil Tankers in Persian Gulf

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for targeting US vessels and oil tankers in the Persian Gulf. According to the IRGC, its naval forces struck two US vessels and eight oil tankers, inflicting heavy damage on the vessels.

The IRGC stated that the attacks were carried out in response to 'US aggression,' specifically citing an attack on five Iranian oil tankers in the Persian Gulf.

The statement from the IRGC also mentioned that its naval forces targeted 10 other vessels attempting to enter a restricted and unsafe area of the Strait of Hormuz, claiming they received encouragement and support from the US military.
