Iran Tensions Fuel Oil Price Surge as Trump Threatens 'Hard' Strike
Oil prices continued to rise on Tuesday after reports of a tanker being hit near Oman and US President Donald Trump's threat to strike Iran 'hard'.
The Brent crude futures price climbed 0.6 percent to $91.02 a barrel, holding above $90 for the second straight day.
US West Texas Intermediate rose 0.9 percent to $86.50 a barrel.
In an interview with Fox News, Trump said the blockade had been 'unbelievable' and that 'we are hitting them very hard,' warning that if Iran were to obtain a nuclear weapon, 'the Middle East and Israel would have gone.'
