Iran Unveils Major Hydrocarbon Reserves in Southern Fars Province
Iran's Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad announced that the country has discovered major new hydrocarbon reserves. The discovery was made in southern Fars province, where over 7.5 trillion cubic feet of gas have been found.
The recoverable portion of these reserves is estimated to be around 5.7 trillion cubic feet. Minister Paknejad described the find as a significant asset for Iran's future energy needs.
Despite facing economic sanctions, Iran has continued efforts to develop its domestic energy resources and strengthen its capacity to produce and export energy.
