Iran Vows More Painful Response as Economic Pressure Mounts Amid US Attacks

Iran's parliament speaker and top negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf warned that any further attacks on Iran's interests will face a more severe response, as economic pressure mounts.

Ghalibaf stated that 'the rules of the game have changed' and that any violation of Iran's security will receive a 'faster, heavier, and more painful' response.

The warning comes after U.S. forces struck three Iranian crude oil carriers, permanently disabling one vessel off the coast of Kharg Island and another near Jask.

Iran is the third-largest producer in the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and exported 90% of its crude via Kharg Island before the war began on February 28.
