The Iran war has expanded beyond the Strait of Hormuz as Yemen's Houthi rebels attacked Saudi oil installations along the Red Sea coast and Iran accused Ukraine of targeting one of its vessels in the Caspian Sea.

The US military said its naval blockade against Iran remains in effect, but it has halted a streak of 13 nights of escalating strikes. A senior official in President Donald Trump's administration stated that Trump prefers diplomacy but will show what happens if Iran fails to negotiate seriously.

Aramco refineries were targeted by the Houthi rebels, with one refinery in Jizan capable of processing up to 400,000 barrels of crude oil daily. The Saudi-led coalition also struck Houthi sites in Yemen's Marib and al-Jawf provinces.
