Iran Warns Countries Supporting US Sanctions Will Be Seen as Committing 'Act of War'

Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Secretary Major General Mohsen Rezaei has issued a warning to any country participating in or supporting US economic sanctions against Iran. According to Press TV, Rezaei stated that if the economic war continues, Iran will not export oil through the Strait of Hormuz or from anywhere in the Persian Gulf.

In his statement posted on X, Rezaei linked the future of energy exports from the Persian Gulf to an end to what he described as US economic hostilities against Iran. He emphasized that any country's participation in or support for America's economic war against the Iranian people would be regarded as an act of war.

The warning comes amid an intensifying US pressure campaign against Iran, which has been pursuing a 'maximum pressure' strategy to reduce Iran's oil exports to zero. The Trump administration aims to penalize foreign entities, shipping companies, and major importers that continue to facilitate purchases of Iranian crude.
