Iran Warns of Severe Retaliation Against US Interests
The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters has issued a warning regarding potential attacks on Iranian oil tankers. General Zolfaqaei, spokesman for the headquarters, stated that if any attack occurs, the Islamic Republic of Iran's armed forces will target American bases and interests in the region.
General Zolfaqaei mentioned that the US 'terrorist army' has threatened to target three Iranian oil tankers. He emphasized that such actions would be met with a severe military response from the Iranian government, specifically targeting US interests.
The threat is particularly relevant given the recent joint military exercise between the US, South Korea, and Japan in the region. The Strait of Hormuz, where some of these incidents have occurred, is a critical waterway for global oil trade, making it a sensitive area for any potential conflicts.
