Iran Warns US Energy Assets Vulnerable to Retaliation
Iran's parliamentary speaker, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, has warned that US energy assets in the Gulf and around the Strait of Hormuz are exposed to Iranian retaliation if Washington strikes Tehran's oil and gas infrastructure.
Qalibaf made his comments on social media platform X, stating 'it's simple: the oil and gas production chain here is sprawling, accessible, and exposed. American oil and gas companies across these waters and facilities share that exposure.'
The remarks come amid US warnings that Iranian oil vessels could be targeted in response to attacks on American naval forces.
