Iranian Oil Tanker Hit By Four Missiles Near Kharg Island

An Iranian oil tanker was struck by four missiles near Kharg Island, Iran's main oil export terminal in the Persian Gulf.

The incident occurred on September 5, with authorities reporting no casualties and the crew successfully evacuated.

Kharg Island serves as Iran's primary oil export hub, handling approximately 90 per cent of the country's crude oil shipments.

The island contains extensive oil storage facilities connected by pipelines to Iran's largest oil and gas fields, with capacity to load 10 supertankers simultaneously.
