US Central Command (Centcom) announced that an Iranian oil tanker, M/T Kylo, has sunk in the Gulf of Oman. The incident occurred on September 6, 2026, after Centcom forces struck three Iranian crude oil carriers as part of a retaliatory operation for ballistic missile attacks on two US warships.
