Iran's Economic Woes Deepen Amid Conflict
Iran's economic troubles have deepened since the conflict with the US and Israel began, according to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
The president attributed rising prices to declining oil sales, higher costs, and reduced government revenues during the war.
Pezeshkian noted that falling oil revenues had placed additional pressure on the government's finances, while imported goods were increasingly entering Iran through alternative routes instead of previously used direct channels.
This change has increased transportation and supply costs, pushing up the final prices of imported products, Pezeshkian said.
