Iran's Oil Exports Fall to Zero Amid US Sanctions Pressure
The Central Bank of Iran's governor, Abdolnaser Hemmati, has confirmed that oil exports have fallen to zero due to US economic pressure.
Hemmati stated that Tehran faced severe restrictions on oil exports as Washington steps up economic sanctions while efforts to resolve the war remain deadlocked.
The Central Bank of Iran governor spoke with counterparts overseas and was told revenue from oil sales had 'fallen to zero', according to Hemmati.
Iran's access to foreign exchange is also being increasingly constrained, raising questions over its ability to sustain essential imports.
