Iran's Oil Exports Grind to a Near-Halt Amid Sanctions
Iran's oil exports have almost completely halted according to Abdolnaser Hemmati, the country's Central Bank Governor. This comes despite Tehran having sufficient foreign currency reserves due to effective planning.
Hemmati assured the Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, that there is no need to worry about essential goods and medicines. The Central Bank and government are ensuring their availability, he added.
There are currently no shortages in the Iranian market as a result of this planning, Hemmati noted. However, he acknowledged the impact of sanctions and restrictions.
