Iran's Oil Exports Plunge to Zero Amid War and Sanctions
The Iranian Central Bank has announced that the country's oil exports have fallen to zero due to war and sanctions. Governor Abdolnaser Hemmati stated in a televised interview that Iran, like Iraq and Qatar, is facing restrictions on oil exports.
Hemmati emphasized that while these countries can access their central bank reserves, Iranian foreign currency reserves have been blocked by the US.
The governor also mentioned that Iranian funds earmarked for release under the framework peace agreement with Washington, reached in June, have yet to be freed.
