Iran's Revolutionary Guards Blame US for Oil Tanker Fires in Strait of Hormuz
Iran's Revolutionary Guards reported that two oil tankers caught fire after striking mines in the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday.
The incident occurred despite the fact that the oil tankers were transiting via a route designated by Iranian forces, according to the Guards.
The statement from the Guards claimed that the oil tankers had sought to transit through an 'illegal route' at the urging of the US military, and as a result struck mines and exploded, causing them to be on fire.
