High-level meetings between Iraqi and Saudi officials in Riyadh have strengthened cooperation between the two countries on energy security and oil market stability.

The meeting, held on Friday, brought together Iraq's Finance Minister Falih Sari and Oil Minister Basim Mohammed Khudair with their Saudi counterparts, Energy and Industry and Mineral Resources Minister Abdulaziz bin Salman and Finance Minister Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan.

According to the official Saudi statement, the two sides discussed several issues of mutual interest and explored opportunities for expanding cooperation across different sectors that serve the shared interests of Iraq and Saudi Arabia.

The meeting also addressed regional developments, emphasizing the importance of efforts to safeguard energy security and stabilize fuel supply chains at the international level.
