Iraq Condemns Drone Attacks on Key Saudi Oil Pipeline
The East-West pipeline in Saudi Arabia was targeted by drone attacks from Iraqi territory, prompting strong condemnations from various countries and organizations.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry attributed the attack to several drones that originated from Iraq, stating that the Kingdom would not retaliate at this time to allow the Iraqi government an opportunity to take necessary measures.
The Iraqi government strongly condemned the attacks, reaffirming its rejection of any aggression that threatens Saudi Arabia's security and stability. Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi ordered an immediate investigation into the incident, with Baghdad vowing to take strict legal action against those implicated.
Several countries, including the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, Oman, Egypt, Libya, Syria, Lebanon, Pakistan, the OIC, the Arab Parliament, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and the Muslim World League (MWL), issued statements condemning the attacks and expressing solidarity with Saudi Arabia.
