Iraq Gold Prices Remain Steady Amid Market Calm
Gold prices in Iraq remained relatively stable on Saturday, according to a survey by Shafaq News. In Baghdad's Al-Nahr Street market, 21-carat gold was selling for around 970,000 IQD per mithqal (five grams), with a buying price of 966,000 IQD. The same variety of gold was available in jewelry stores at prices ranging from 970,000 to 980,000 IQD per mithqal.
In Erbil, the market for 22-carat gold saw prices reach 1,004,000 IQD per mithqal, while 21-carat gold sold for around 960,000 IQD. Meanwhile, 18-carat gold was available at a price of 822,000 IQD per mithqal.
The survey did not provide any specific explanation for the stability in gold prices, but it is worth noting that the market has been relatively calm in recent days.
