Iraq Gold Prices Surge as Market Sees Rise in Baghdad and Erbil
Gold prices in Iraq have seen an increase in recent days, according to market surveys conducted by Shafaq News. In Baghdad's Al-Nahr Street, gold prices reached a selling price of 970,000 IQD per mithqal (five grams) for 21-carat gold, including Gulf, Turkish, and European varieties, with a buying price of 966,000 IQD. This represents an increase from the previous day's selling price of 945,000 IQD.
The prices were recorded on Thursday, September 3rd, in both Baghdad and Erbil markets. In jewelry stores, the selling price per mithqal of 21-carat Gulf gold ranged between 975,000 and 980,000 IQD, while Iraqi gold sold for between 940,000 and 950,000 IQD.
In Erbil, prices were slightly higher, with 22-carat gold selling at 1,004,000 IQD per mithqal, 21-carat gold at 960,000 IQD, and 18-carat gold at 822,000 IQD. These price changes reflect the current market trends in Iraq.
