Iraq Grabs Drone Launch Platform Used in Saudi Pipeline Attack
Iraqi security forces have seized a drone launch platform used in an attack on a Saudi oil pipeline, according to the country's Security Media Cell chief Saad Maan.
The platform was discovered inside Iraqi territory and is being investigated by forensic experts with the help of technical documentation and rigorous forensic examination.
Maan emphasized that Baghdad and Riyadh maintain active communication channels across various government levels to exchange vital intelligence and security data.
Saudi Arabia announced on Friday that multiple drones originating from Iraq struck sections of the strategic East-West pipeline, causing injuries and infrastructural damage. The kingdom decided against military retaliation, acceding to a direct request from Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi to give Baghdad time to implement security measures.
