Iraq Lands Major Oilfield Deal with KEPPT

The Iraqi government has made significant strides in securing its energy future with a landmark deal for the Ajil oilfield.

The North Oil Company of Iraq has signed a 25-year contract with KEPPT, a private developer, to boost production at the field.

Under the agreement, gas output is expected to rise from 135 million standard cubic feet per day to 300 million, while oil production will increase from 30,000 barrels per day to 40,000.

This move aligns with Iraq's efforts to strengthen its energy infrastructure and drive economic growth through efficient resource management.
