Iraq Resumes Oil Exports, Reports $2.34 Billion in Revenue
Iraq has resumed its regular oil export and revenue reporting after a two-month suspension due to regional tensions. The country's Oil Ministry announced that it exported 32.11 million barrels of crude oil, including condensates, worth around $2.34 billion during May and June 2026.
The exports comprised 20.24 million barrels from Basra, 10.31 million barrels of Kirkuk crude shipped through Turkiye's Ceyhan port, and 1.56 million barrels from the Kurdistan Region exported via the same terminal.
Oil expert Hamza Al-Jawahiri noted that fluctuating export volumes and unstable shipping operations had disrupted the regular publication of the ministry's figures, leading to reduced transparency in assessing Iraq's oil sector performance and revenues.
