Iraq Seizes Drone-Launching Platform Used to Attack Saudi Oil Pipeline
Iraqi authorities have seized a drone-launching platform used to target a Saudi oil pipeline, said Iraq's Security Media Cell chief Saad Maan on Saturday.
The platform was found inside Iraqi territory and had been used in an attack on the East-West oil pipeline in the Riyadh and Medina regions of Saudi Arabia, causing injuries and material damage. The attack was carried out by drones launched from Iraq, according to the Saudi Foreign Ministry.
Maan stated that investigative procedures are ongoing, involving forensic experts, technical documentation, examination, and analysis to identify those involved in the attacks. The Iraqi government is working with the Saudi authorities to exchange intelligence and security information to prevent future attacks.
