Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi has called for an increase in oil output to reach 10 million barrels per day by 2030. The goal was discussed during a meeting held to discuss Iraq's strategic plan to develop and increase oil production, according to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

Al-Zaidi emphasized that Iraq's oil output should be proportionate to its reserves, oil production capabilities, and the growing number of the population. This would allow the country to satisfy its residents' needs as well as development requirements.

The prime minister also directed an increase in output from oil fields in the Kurdistan region of Iraq and the expansion of exploration activities to achieve the plan's objectives.
