Iraq Targets 8-10mln Bpd Oil Output Within Six Years
Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi has announced ambitious plans to increase oil production in the country. According to Zawya, al-Zaidi stated that Iraq aims to raise its oil output to between 8 million and 10 million barrels per day within six years.
A ministerial committee has been sent to Saudi Arabia to discuss expanding Iraq's OPEC production quota, as part of these efforts. The prime minister also mentioned that the country is working on exporting oil through Syria's Baniyas port and Jordan's Aqaba port.
