Iraqi Drilling Company Rehabilitates Key Oil Well at West Qurna 1

The Iraqi Drilling Company (IDC) has completed the rehabilitation of oil well WQ1-132 at the West Qurna 1 oil field, a key move in enhancing Iraq's oil production efficiency and supporting long-term energy sector development.

The project was carried out as part of the IDC's operational program to improve well performance and maintain sustainable crude oil production. According to the company, the rehabilitation work was completed under the supervision of Director General Mohammed Hantoosh Asad Al-Azirjawi and in line with directives from Oil Minister Bassem Mohammed Khudair Al-Abadi.

Technical and engineering teams used the company's specialized expertise and equipment to carry out the operation. The IDC emphasized that relying on local expertise strengthens operational efficiency while supporting the continued development of Iraq's oil infrastructure.
