IRGC Blocks Oil Tankers Amid Ongoing US Strikes in Iran
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Iran has stopped three oil tankers from passing through the Strait of Hormuz, one of which caught fire after an explosion.
The IRGC stated that the tankers were 'provoked and tempted by the child-killing American army' and had been trying to pass through a mine-laid route south of the strait.
After the explosion, the other two tankers quickly turned back. The IRGC warned that any ship 'deceived' by the US and attempting to pass without Iran's consent would suffer the same fate.
The incident comes as the US continues its strikes against Iran, with the US Central Command stating that the attacks were intended to 'further degrade Iran's ability to threaten civilian mariners and commercial vessels transiting regional waters.'
