Israel Gas Prices Set for Holiday Relief as Oil Tensions Ease
Gasoline prices in Israel are expected to fall by around 25 agorot per liter on Monday night, bringing relief to drivers ahead of the High Holiday season.
The price drop is due to easing tensions between Iran and the United States, which has led to a decrease in oil prices. Brent crude was trading at about $87 a barrel on Thursday morning, roughly 10% below its level at the end of July.
The self-service price for gasoline is expected to fall from around 8.09 shekels per liter to around 7.84 shekels per liter, although the final figure will not be determined until Sunday morning.
A decline of 0.25 shekels per liter would reduce the cost of filling a 50-liter tank by 12.50 shekels, resulting in monthly savings of about 50 shekels for drivers who fill up four times a month.
