ISS Backs TNR Gold's Current Leadership Amid Proxy Vote
TNR Gold Corp., led by Executive Chairman and CEO Kirill Klip, is facing a proxy vote where shareholders are being asked to choose between current leadership and dissident nominee Jon Christian 'JC' Evensen.
The Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) has recommended that shareholders elect Mr. Klip and withhold support from Mr. Evensen in the ongoing director election.
Citing a strong five-year return of 775% compared to 161-252% for its royalty peer group, ISS highlighted TNR Gold's value creation during Mr. Klip's tenure, including a private placement by Altius Minerals that led to a 30% share price increase and sustained higher trading range.
The company has also repaid its investment loan and maintains a debt-free balance sheet, positioning it for potential royalty revenue from its portfolio of lithium, copper, gold, and silver assets.
