Ivanhoe Mines Posts Record Zinc Output Amid Refined Copper Guidance
Ivanhoe Mines, an OTCQX-listed company (; OTCQX:IVPAF), reported its second-quarter 2026 financial results on July 30, showcasing record production at its Kipushi mine and refined output guidance amidst rising operating costs. The presentation highlighted adjusted EBITDA of $179 million and net profit of $46 million for the quarter.
Kamoa-Kakula produced 64,328 tonnes of copper in the second quarter at a cash cost of $2.84 per pound, within the company's full-year guidance range of $2.60 to $3.00 per pound. The complex sold 120,000 tonnes of sulfuric acid at an average price of $465 per tonne during the quarter.
Kipushi delivered a standout performance, producing a record 70,177 tonnes of zinc at a cash cost of $0.90 per pound. Management maintained its 2026 production guidance of 240,000 to 290,000 tonnes for Kipushi, positioning it to become the world's third-largest zinc mine this year.
