Iveco Bus and Hexagon Agility Ink Global CNG Fuel Systems Deal
Iveco Bus and Hexagon Agility have signed an exclusive long-term agreement for the supply of compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel systems for Iveco's entire global CNG and biomethane bus range.
The agreement builds on a partnership that has already resulted in the deployment of over 10,000 CNG buses worldwide, spanning more than two decades. The new deal will see Hexagon Agility provide complete fuel systems incorporating its Type 4 carbon fiber cylinders across the entire Iveco Bus natural gas-powered transit vehicle portfolio.
The agreement applies to Iveco's operations in Europe, Latin America, Asia Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East, where CNG and biomethane buses have seen increasing adoption. According to Transport & Environment (T&E), these fuels represented 7% of European city bus registrations in 2025, with shares exceeding 20% in France, Greece, and Italy.
Eric Bippus, Chief Commercial Officer at Hexagon Agility, emphasized the importance of this agreement, stating: 'Our long-standing collaboration with Iveco Bus has already helped transit operators deploy over 10,000 buses around the world that are reducing emissions and fleet costs right now.'
