Japan Bond Yield Eases Amid Oil Price Decline
The 10-year Japanese government bond yield retreated to around 2.76% on Monday as oil prices declined following the suspension of strikes between the US and Iran over the weekend.
This development comes as Japan's economy remains heavily reliant on oil imports from the Middle East, making it vulnerable to supply disruptions and sharp price swings in crude.
The country's bond yields had climbed to 30-year highs earlier this month due to a worsening fiscal outlook, exacerbated by Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's administration unveiling a massive spending package that could further increase Japan's debt burden.
