Jefferies Lifts Sempra to 'Buy' with 19% Upside Potential
Sempra stock has gained ground after Jefferies upgraded it to 'buy' on valuation grounds, setting a price target of 97 USD, which implies around 19% upside from its current level.
The upgrade comes at a time when Sempra's share price is trading near its 52-week low, with the stock currently priced at around 81.70 USD on the New York Stock Exchange.
An average of analyst targets suggests that the stock has about 13.64% upside potential to an average target of 103.71 USD.
Sempra's growth prospects are also being driven by its LNG expansion plans, including a major brownfield expansion of its Port Arthur LNG project in Texas, which could increase the site's throughput by around 27 million tonnes per year.
