JERA's LNG Open House Brings Together Stakeholders in Respectful Exchange
A recent open house event for the liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in Hawaii was described as cordial and productive by an attendee who has friends on both sides of the debate.
The August 5 event at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall allowed attendees to ask pointed questions and engage with JERA staff, who took the time to listen and respond thoughtfully.
Concerns about cost, jobs, and environmental impact were raised and taken seriously by the project team, according to the attendee.
