Jordanian Gold Prices Climb Amid Global Market Volatility
The price of gold in Jordan has edged higher on Saturday, as the selling price of 21-karat gold reached JD103.60 per gram for sales at jewelry shops, compared to JD98.90 for purchase.
This is according to President of the General Syndicate for Owners of Trading Shops and Gold and Jewelry Goldsmiths, Rebhi Allan, who noted that prevailing political factors, particularly the Iranian nuclear file, are driving up gold prices in global markets.
The weekly trading sessions in the global market closed on Friday at $5,106 per ounce, with a rise of $150 per ounce during trading on Thursday and Friday.
