Jordanian Gold Prices Edge Higher Amid Global Market Boost
Gold prices edged higher in Jordan on Saturday, as the selling price of 21-karat gold reached JD103.60 per gram for sales at jewelry shops, compared to JD98.90 for purchase.
The General Syndicate for Owners of Trading Shops and Gold and Jewelry Goldsmiths reported that the yellow metal closed its weekly trading sessions in global markets on Friday at $5,106 per ounce.
President Rebhi Allan noted that gold prices rose by $150 per ounce during trading on Thursday and Friday, driven by prevailing political factors, particularly the Iranian nuclear file.
