July Petrol & Diesel Sales Surge Amid Economic Growth

Petrol and diesel sales have seen an uptick in July, rising by 8.6% and 9.4% year-on-year respectively due to increased mobility, stronger vehicle sales, and accelerated economic activity.

According to the oil ministry's provisional data, jet fuel sales declined by 1.4%, while cooking gas (LPG) saw a significant drop of 17.4%. The LPG sales are constrained since the Iran war started on February 28 due to supply disruptions.

The high fuel costs have inflated airfares, impacting demand for air travel and subsequently affecting jet fuel consumption.
