Kalimat Market Sets Wholesale Prices for Fruits and Vegetables in Kathmandu Today

Kalimati Market in Kathmandu has set today's wholesale prices for various fruits and vegetables. According to the market development committee, large Nepali tomatoes are priced at Rs 70 per kilogram, while small local tomatoes cost Rs 30 per kilogram.

The price of potatoes varies depending on their type, with red potatoes (long) costing Rs 51 per kg, round red potatoes at Rs 53, and mudhe red potatoes also at Rs 53. The price for dried Indian onions is Rs 64 per kg.

The committee has set prices for a wide range of other produce, including carrots, cabbage, cauliflower, beans, gourds, and more. For example, local carrots are priced at Rs 120 per kg, while Terai carrots cost Rs 80 per kg. String beans and corn beans both cost Rs 100 per kg.
